Part of the tremendous appeal of the T206 set is driven by the wide variety of methods to collect its cards. Team sets player sets back runs Hall of Famers horizontals full sets of various backs - sometimes it seems there are as many different ways to collect the T206 set as there are people collecting it. The first print group of T206s included a grouping of 48 players from the Southern League which were printed with Hindu advertising backs and marketed separately from the rest of the cards. Subsequently the cards were reprinted with Old Mill and Piedmont backs as the 350 series print run began. The result is a group of 48 cards that are considered more scarce than many of the "common" T206s available only with Hindu Piedmont or Old Mill backs. The Southern Leaguers are highly collectible among T206 hobbyists today. Presented here is a grouping of 39 Southern Leaguers each boasting strong visual appeal but resting squarely in the G-VG range (though a few are stronger and a few lesser).
