Interesting and attractive collection of five letters from baseball executives now enshrined in the Hall of Fame. Each presents extremely well with clearly legible signatures and light wear related to mailing and storing (i.e. folds into thirds light wrinkles and slight toning). Included in the collection are the following: 1) 1933 George Weiss: 1933 Newark Bears letter to Joe Devine requesting a scouting report on a minor league player with the last name of Blackwell along with some other questions regarding Kansas City players. 2) 1938 Ed Barrow: New York Yankees letter to Joe Devine regarding a sporting goods order from Wilson. 3) 1952 Will Harridge: Letter to Arthur Ehlers of the Philadealphia Athletics referencing the contract of Cass Michaels claimed by the Athletics from waivers. 4) 1956 Ford Frick: Letter to John O'Brien of the Pittsburgh Pirates advising him that he will receive additional pension credit for his military service. 5) 1968 Larry MacPhail: Letter to Ken Smith of the Baseball Hall of Fame thanking him for agreeing to serve on Richard Nixon's Sports Advisory Committee. While signed letters from executives are by nature more plentiful than those from players they are nonetheless desirable due to their interesting content Major League letterhead and clean professional appearance. These five letters are no exception each boasting strong eye appeal and clean signatures. Five letters total individual LOAs from James Spence Authentication for each.
