Graded “good” by SGC this E97 Briggs Co. Lozenge card features Dennis Sullivan with the incredibly difficult Boston designation at the card’s bottom. Advanced collectors will immediately recognize this card as being not only the most difficult card in this challenging set but one of the most iconic variations in a caramel-card set of the era. Despite some corner wear staining and minor creasing this sample remains bold. Showing Sullivan whipping a baseball in front of an almost surreal green backdrop this card announces why caramel cards are so widely regarded by the baseball card community. Overall this is a strong sample of a very challenging card that is missing from most all E97 sets.
