Interesting 1936 photo picturing Joe Louis and Max Schmeling with the title "Look out Max it's loaded!" The photo promotes the 1936 fight between the two their first of two meetings refereed by the legendary Arthur Donovan. Louis not properly prepared for the fight was defeated in the 12th round by knockout. The photo is heavily marked on the front for newspaper production the background completely removed. The reverse contains paper remnants and editorial markings. Overall wrinkling and wear does not detract from the interesting image which depicts an overconfident Louis a week or so before his defeat.
