Interesting official scorecard from a US Navy-sponsored "World Series" held in the Hawaiian Islands in the fall of 1945 featuring the best of the players from the ten-team 14th Naval District league. Major leaguers include future Hall of Famers Ted Williams Bob Lemon Stan Musial and Billy Herman along with many other pros (among them Bob Scheffing Lou Tost Hugh Casey Johnny Peksy Rollie Helmsley Bob Kennedy Fred Hutchinson and more). Lineups have been written into the scorecard and an ink scribble is visible on the inside of the piece though the game itself was not scored. Printed on lightweight paper the scorecard presents well with minor wear throughout.
