Two halves of an outstanding beautiful 1894 Cincinnati Reds schedule and game scorecard produced by the Cincinnati Enquirer. The lithographic cover pictures several baseball scenes surrounded by ornate borders and figures. The reverse depicts images of 17 team members including Hall of Famers Bid McPhee and Charles Comiskey along with favorites Arlie Latham Dummy Hoy Morgan Murphy and Ice Box Chamberlain. The interior is fantastic a game-by-game chronicle of the 1894 season including rainouts. Condition is clearly poor from a technical standpoint as the left and right half of the piece have been separated. A large corner clip is present on one page; the corresponding page is heavily creased and repaired with clear tape. The year 1894 has been written atop the cover in what appears to be heavy black ink. A faint pencil marking can be found on the reverse. Despite the condition issues however the piece is beautiful a fine example of period artwork with images of some of the 19th Century's more important players and an outstanding day-by-day document of the 1894 season.
