Beautiful one-sheet movie poster from the 1962 film Safe at Home featuring both Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Capitalizing on the success of the Mantle/Maris home run race of 1961 Safe At Home tells the story of young Hutch Lawton a little leaguer who tells his friends he knows the Yankee outfielders. The film starred William Frawley (Fred Mertz from I Love Lucy) and featured cameos from Mantle and Maris along with Ralph Houk Whitey Ford David Mantle and Joe Pepitone. The 27" x 41" poster displays very well despite being folded into quarters. Edge and surface wear is apparent as are heavy folds in the paper due to storage. Still an excellent display piece featuring two of the most popular players - perhaps the most popular players - of their era.
