Gorgeous lithographic advertising poster framed in its original wood frame to a size of approximately 32 1/4" x 42". This is an enormous colorful poster with bright detailed graphics depicting The Prince Of Wales King Edward VII on horseback surrounded by British soldiers on horseback. The gold-leaf lettering on the poster is exquisite rich and bold. The frame itself a thick dark wood features the faint lettering of "El Principe De Gales" along the bottom in gold as well. The original glass long broken and has been professionally replaced with plexiglass. The poster displays wonderfully as EX or better though close examination does reveal some subtle but noticeable creasing at the top-left and what appears to be a small tear in the bottom-right corner. None of the blemishes detracts from what is and outstanding display one of the finest large-format tobacco advertisements we have encountered.
