Attractive 1914 Baseball program for Michigan University where Branch Rickey was coach. George Sisler broke in as a freshman in 1912 and was one of the team's best players and is depicted here a year before his professional debut with the St. Louis Browns where the first baseman would spend most of his career. As team captain Sisler is depicted on the cover in his Michigan uniform a lovely "pre-rookie" image. The entire program has been entombed in a giant Beckett holder making it impossible to properly assess condition however the front cover appears to present well with some folds down the center as expected and some foxing throughout. The reverse presents less well with some staining and a large tear. Despite this an excellent piece difficult to find featuring an early image of a great Hall of Famer.
