Beautiful example of a very difficult N173 picturing Boston catcher Charles Bennett. As is the case with N172 Old Judges the N173 counterparts also frequently suffer from the same issues with fading to the photographic image. Such is not the case with this example which boasts strong enough contrast to recognizze exceptional detail in Bennett's ring-style bat his shoes and even in the photographic backdrop in the image. The FAIR 20 grade is due to wear at the corners and ink writing on the reverse along with a signifcant surface crease at the bottom-right corner that is far more visible on the back than on the front. A beautiful example of a tough tough card.
