Reminiscent of the 1948 Bowman baseball and football issues the Bowman "Movie Stars" set is a black-and-white photographic issue featuring film stars "selected by 'Photoplay' - America's Favorite Screen Magazine." Each card includes a portrait image on the front along with basical biographical info on the reverse. This is an exceptionally attractive set the majority of the cards falling in the EX-MT range with some better and a few lesser. Those lesser-grade cards fall into the EX or VG/EX range due solely to corners and centering as the image quality of each card is excellent and the set is crease-free.
