The Kane PA Mountaineers played for three seasons in the Interstate League with notable future major leaguers Jake Daubert Harry Coveleski and Ed Gremminger. Daubert played 15 years in the majors with the Dodgers and Reds compiling a .303 lifetime batting average hitting .350 in 1913 and was considered the top first baseman in the National League during the deadball era. Postally used in July of 1906 the card has been graded POOR 10 by SGC due to the use and resultant writing however the image of the team presents quite well. We believe Daubert to be the player crouched at the far left in the photo. A strong pre-rookie team card featuring a near Hall of Famer.
