Exceptional postcard produced by the Block Brothers Studio and featuring Hall of Famers Rabbit Maranville Jesse Haines Grover Cleveland Alexander Jim Bottomley Frankie Frisch Chick Hafey and manager Bill McKechnie the 1928 Cardinals led the National League with a 95-59 record but were swept in the World Series by the Yankees. The postcard itself is one of the higher-grade examples we have seen; while the postcard is not a scarce one it is much tougher to find in higher grades. Superior image quality and a lack of toning typically seen with this issue add to its eye appeal. A gorgeous image and excellent document of one of baseball's most historic and widely-collected franchises.
