Regardless of the exact set this horizontal pose of Christy is widely considered to be one of the great images produced on a baseball card of the era. Featuring the Hall of Fame pitcher just finishing a pitch in front of a brilliant sunset combined with an unusual horizontal format this card touches all of the bases. Graded “good” by PSA this sample does have condition issues ncluding creasing and corner rounding. Most importantly though the majority of Mathewson’s actual image remains untouched on this beautiful card.
