Exceptional example of the "batting" version of Cincinnati infielder Tom Downey"s T206 card. Downey shown toward the beginning of his career was a promising second baseman in the Connecticut State League and various other Northeast minor leagues prior to joining the Reds for the 1909 season. His promise never truly materialized however and after four years in the majors he moved to the American Association for the 1913 season.
