This is one of the more interesting and obscure stories in modern card collecting. There are two forms of Exhibit cards from Canada. One group of issues the baseball cards differ from their American counterparts and appear to be made from original images indicating they are ESCO products. The others which encompass hockey and boxing cards are either second generation images of American Exhibit boxing cards or entirely new cards (hockey). The boxing and hockey cards may be ESCO products or they may be look-alike Canadian arcade cards. Researchers do not even have a clear idea of which cards were issued. The green tint cards surfaced only recently. What is certain is that the boxing cards were made in the 1940s and early 1950s and are many many times more difficult to locate than the corresponding American cards. We are offering 23 cards from the boxing run representing the largest group of these cards that has come to auction in recent memory and including all three known colors of Canadian Exhibit boxing cards breaking down as follows: 1) Green Tint (5 cards): Rocky Graziano Billy Graham Paddy De Marco Robert Villemain (2); 2) Blue Tint (6 cards): Sammy Angott Cleo Shans Chalky Wright Jimmy Bivins Manuel Oritz [sic; Ortiz] Tony Zale; 3) Red Tint (11 cards): Fritzie Zivic Chalky Wright Tony Zale Luther Slugger White Beau Jack Arturo Godoy (2) Cleo Shans (2) Willie Pep Manuel Oritz [sic; Ortiz]
