Collection of eight T220 cards each with the much more scarce Tolstoi reverse. According to America's Great Boxing Cards cards with the Tolstoi reverse are about as common as the silver-bordered T220 cards which appear at a rate suggested to be less than 10% of the white-bordered cousins. An attractive group of cards these were purchased by our consignor more for their scarcity than for their eye appeal hence the lower technical grades and the presence of minor staining and corner wear. Five of the cards have been graded by PSA. THose are as follows: Willie Beecher (PSA VG-EX 4) Joe Choynksi (PSA VG-EX 4) Jas J. Corbett (PSA EX 5) Charlie Mitchell (PSA VG+ 3.5) and Tommy Ryan (PSA EX-MT 6). The three remaining cards are of Jack Goodman (F) Kid McCoy (VG) and Marvin Hart (VG). PSA currently doesn't differentiate between back varieties in their population reports so there is no way to determine their graded population. We do know they are particularly scarce in comparison with the other white bordered cards. An excellent collection of eight very scarce cards from this popular issue.
