I have one to sell!
In various locations online and in our auctions we have told the story of our "Texas Find " along with describing the hundreds of autographed 1952 Topps cards that we encountered. The first group of cards were located in a 5 000-ct shoebox in the center of the collector's card room. In that box we discovered hundreds of signed cards including the Frank Campos "black star" variation featured elsewhere in this auction. As we continued sorting through the collection however we would encounter more and more signed cards - mostly 1952 Topps. The owner of the cards was otherwise extremely well-organized and focused about his collection but we were shocked at the sheer number of cards from the set that we discovered as we sorted through this massive collection. Ultimately we counted well over 600 signed '52 Topps cards with many rare examples deceased players Hall of Famers and high numbers. The collector was clearly in love with the set as he assembled one complete set plus a complete low number run along with the hundreds of signed examples. Presented here is an extraordinary grouping of 110 signed 1952 Topps the largest group from the collection that we have offered yet. The collection includes several Hall of Famers and high numbers along with some more difficult-to-find examples. For the sake of consistency we elected to have this entire grouping authenticated and encapsulated by SGC Authentic the autograph authentication arm of SGC. Included in the collection are the following: #4 5 6 8 12 16 Hermanski 18 19 20 Loes 21 Fain 25 31 Zernial 32 34 37 Duke Snider (HOF) 40 45 49 Sain (Correct back) 55 56 58 60 64 66 Roe 67 Reynolds 70 72 73 77 79 81 Law 82 83 85 91 Red Schoendienst (HOF) 94 98 99 Woodling 105 106 Vernon 107 113 115 116 118 120 123 Yost 129 Johnny Mize (HOF) 131 133 136 139 142 143 146 149 153 160 161 162 Crandall 163 166 171 172 182 Hitchcock 187 196 197 199 200 Houk 203 205 King 206 211 214 215 Bauer 219 220 223 226 230 236 239 241 Byrne 254 Wertz 247 249 251 Carrasquel 254 255 257 258 260 262 Trucks 264 Hartsfield 269 270 273 278 286 289 291 293 Sisti 295 Cavaretta 297 302 310 324 Hacker 354 Hatfield and 404 Brodowski.
