Huge unsearched hoard of 1978 Topps cards the result of a long-ago vending box break. The cards were purchased at auction by a west coast collector and stored away and were consigned to LOTG during our 2015 West Coast consignment road trip. There are more than 8 500 cards included in the two large boxes; condition averages EX/MT certainly with some better. We would also anticipate a good deal of EX condition cards due to corner and edge wear consistent with gentle handling and of course due to 1970s Topps centering issues. Certainly a grab bag lot; the star cards pictured at the top of the box were all located at the front of one pile packed in plastic; the total quantity of the star cards included in the collection is unknown as it has not been searched since the cards were initially packed away years ago.
