Fascinating group of 24 colorized photos as run in the Chicago Tribune in 1925 and 1926. Each of the photos measures slightly under 7 1/4" x 8 1/2" with a photo caption underneath each photo describing the player and typically what it is that justifies their inclusion in the paper (typically a big game that weekend). The photos are beautiful printed on newsprint (they appeared in the paper so the back of each piece is the reverse page of that day's paper). Each has been hand-cut so there is a certain degree of waviness about the cuts. A few have minor creases however given their method of distribution the condition is wonderful.
