Simply an outstanding hand-designed scrapbook owned by a young girl named Louise Manning who grew up a Pirates fan in the early 1960s. Young Louise turned her scrapbook into a national league album highlighted by her Pirates with hand-designed pages dedicated to each team. Over the seasons she accumulated the autographs of a variety of players from the Pirates and other National League teams carefully cutting them out of an autograph book and transferring them to her scrapbook. Additionally she snapped photos of various Pirates players from the stands and then had each player sign the photo. Above each of the signatures in her book she dated the autograph and labeled each cut signature with the player's name. The result is a simply wonderful presentation. Obviously highlighted by a beautiful signature of Roberto Clemente (dated 1961) other players include the following: Ed Bauth Bob Boyd Ernie Broglio Bob Bruce Don Budden Neil Chrisley Joe Christopher Gino Cimoli Doug Clemens Tony Cloninger Clay Dalrymple Chuck Dressen Elroy Face Bill Foss Carl Francis Gene Freese Joe Garagiola Bob Gibson (HOF) Dave Giusti Harry Goss Dick Groat (signed cut and photo) Harvey Haddix Bob Hendley Don Hoak (signed cut and photo) Clem Labine (signed cut and photo) Johnny Logan Jerry Lynch Felix Mantilla Lee Maye Ed Mathews (HOF) Bill Mazeroski (HOF - signed cut and photo) Don McMahon Bob Miller Walt Moryn Danny Murtaugh Stan Musial (HOF) Rocky Nelson (signed cut and photo) Don Nottebart Bob Purkey Cookie Rojas Ray Sadecki Bobby Shantz George Sisler Bob Skinner Warren Spahn (HOF) Al Spangler Frank Thomas Joe Torre (HOF) Bill Virdon (signed cut and photo) Carl Warwick Carl Willey George Witt and Jim Woods. An incredible document of early 1960s National League baseball compiled by a young fan with a passion for her Pittsburgh Pirates. Includes 61 signatures in total including both cuts and photos with some very difficult signatures from the era plus a notable signature of Roberto Clemente. LOA by James Spence Authentication.
