Collection of material related to the elegant Hotel Sinton, located on the corner of 4th & Vine in Cincinnati, OH from 1907-64. It was here sometime prior to Game 1 of the 1919 World Series that seven of the eight "Black Sox," who would intentionally attempt to lose games, met with gamblers Bill Burns, Abe Attell, and Dave Zelcer to finalize their agreement to accept $20,000 for each thrown contest. Included: 1) 3.5" x 5.5" c.1940's Hotel Sinton postcard 2) 5" x 6.5" silver plated tray with "Hotel Sinton" lettering at center. 3) Three approx. 1" x 1" fobs each stating "Cincinnati's Most Desireable Hostelry - Guest Charge Account" on reverse. 5 pieces total from this location pivotal to staging the most scandalous event in baseball history.
