Bobby Thompson's heartbreaking walk-off blast abruptly ended the Dodgers hopes in 1951 but they bounced back in '52, finishing with 96 wins to capture the National League pennant. In the first game of the World Series, at Ebbets Field, Dodgers Pee Wee Reese, Duke Snider, and Jackie Robinson all homered in a 4-2 victory. The presented 7" x 9" Type 1 photograph captures the three future Hall of Famers as they posed for photographers in their locker room the very next day, all smiles, at Yankee Stadium. Photo exhibits typical light handling wear with softening of corners. Verso displays large credit stamping from International with a full paper caption describing the moment still affixed. Please note that date on the paper caption is a typo, reading "10-2-51" when it should read "10-2-52." Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type 1 photo by PSA/DNA.
