Interesting pair of advertising postcards, both with a baseball theme.  Collection includes 1) 1912 Burgess Postcard: Advertising the "New Method Wet Wash Laundry" in Akron, OH, the postcard includes some advertising copy and a May 1915 calendar on the reverse, an illustration of a baseball game on the front.  GOOD condition with some minor wrinkling and heavier wear at the corners. 2) Alemite Summer Gear Lubricant: advertising this automotive product, an illustration of a baseball player sliding, the home plate umpire signaling "safe," with the caption "Enjoy safe driving from now until World Series Time" printed underneath.  Blank is back, save for some pencil writing in the upper left corner.  VG/EX condition with light age-related discoloration at the edges.  Two cards total.
