Unusual papier mace baseball-shaped bank, measuring 7" in height and approximately 5 1/2" wide.  The top of the bank has a coin slot, as banks do, and "'Jimmy' Children's Cancer Research" is emblazoned on two sides of the piece.  The adjacent sides include a Red Sox logo and the words "The Variety Club" set inside a heart.  The lettering and stitches of the baseball have been painted red, as has the base.  While we have seen several similar baseball banks pop up in the hobby with Boston Braves logos, this is the first Red Sox bank we have encountered.  G-VG condition does display wear, including some mild cracking near the coin slot, as well as other surface abrasions throughout.
