A baby faced Spahn has been photographed at the dawn of his illustrious 21-season career and shortly before entering military service during World War 2. His 363 career wins for a lefty ranks first all-time in front of Steve Carlton with 329 victories and Eddie Plank sitting at 305. Among other accolades, between 1947-63 Spahn finished with twenty-win seasons an astonishing thirteen times and was a World Series champion in 1957.
