Rare 1949 Almendares team premium from one of the most famous teams in Cuban League history. The famed Almendares were champs in 1948 and 49, and featured a number of names known well to American baseball fans including Al Gionfrioddo, Monte Irvin, Sandy Amoros, Sam Jethroe, and Hector Rodriguez. All are present in this premium, which has clearly seen better days, as have many paper items originating from Cuba. Significant soiling throughout and tearing and paper loss around the edges and spine of the piece. A rare and attractive Cuban league team image regardless of condition.
