Well-worn but attractive photographic premium commemorating the 1948-49 Cuban League champion Almendares team.  Featuring Hall of Famer Monte Irvin the year before his debut with the New York Giants (though he was, at this point, nearly 30 years old, having played ten seasons with the Newark Eagles), the photo also includes Sandy Amoros, Al Gionfriddo, Morris Martin, and Wally Miranda, among others. As is the case with many paper items originating from Cuba, this example shows considerable creasing and soiling, with some age-related discoloration at the top edge and reverse.  Despite the condition, all paper items featuring Cuban League teams are highly desirable, particularly those featuring Major League players and Hall of Famers. Overall dimensions of 9.25" x 11".
