Another entry in the portraits with a deep red background subset of the T206 set, this offering features Kid Elberfeld of the New York Highlanders (later Yankees). The colors have remained bold and beautiful on this offering, and the centering is just slightly south and east on the canvas. The borders have remained mostly clean and white, with the corners being sharp for the grade. A crease near the top left corner and an indentation along the left edge explain the card's technical grade. The Piedmont back is beautiful and nearly unblemished, giving this card fantastic eye appeal on either side.

Norman Arthur "Kid" Elberfeld had one of the game's great nicknames. He was known as The Tabasco Kid because of his fiery temper, and for his ferocious verbal - and sometimes physical - assaults on umpires. On one occasion, while in the minors, Elberfeld threw a lump of mud into an umpire's open mouth. Later in his career, Elberfeld assaulted umpire Silk O'Loughlin and had to be forcibly removed by police. Kid was tossed from a major league game 22 times as a player and 4 times as a manager. He was also hit by 165 pitches in his career, good for 19th place on the all time list.
