Despite some light image fading and chipping at the top edge, the majority of the wear responsible for the lower technical grade on this card of Hall of Famer Hugh Duffy lies on the reverse, yet another example of how N172 Old Judges suffer by the standards of today's grading system. The same scrapbook mounting that undoubtedly produced the back damaged helped preserve the card, reducing its exposure to light and elements that might detract from its condition over time. An attractive 1889 example of a desirable Hall of Famer.
