There are three different Brown cards included in the T206 set. One is a portrait, one shows him pitching in a shirt that says "CHICAGO" down the center buttons of his shirt, and this version, which shows him pitching in a shirt that says "CUBS" across his chest. This is the rarest of the three versions of the Hall of Famer, and a real classic in the landmark set.

This example displays a bold yellow sky and green background which offsets the drab color of Brown's Cubs uniform. Rounded corners and some minor diamond cutting appear, but the edges and centering are surprisingly nice for a card of this grade. Some surface abrasions and minor staining on the front contribute as well, but the main explanation for the card's technical grade are the couple small areas exhibiting paper loss on an otherwise bold and beautiful back.

Mordecai Peter Centennial "Three Finger" Brown was an absolute workhorse, pitching 200 or more innings in each of his first 9 seasons, winning 20+ in 6 straight. He was the ace of the Cubs teams who went to the World Series in 1906, 1907, 1908, and 1910. The only season the team didn't go to the Series in that span may have been the best season in Brown's career. He led the league in Games (50), Wins (27), Complete Games (32), and Innings Pitched (342.2), but also led the league with 7 Saves.
