Interesting 11" x 14" ad slick for Williams Luxury Shaving Cream by Aqua Velva.  The brand was advertised heavily through player endorsements, with 18 different athletes listed in the artwork as "famous athletes who use Williams shaving cream."  The slick includes a photo of Gehrig, as well as a copy of an illustrated newspaper advertisement dated 1937, the likely year of this campaign.  The slick is marred by three pinholes at the top center, as well as a tear in the image of the shaving cream tube.  Some surface indents and tiny edge tears, as well as overall discoloration and soiling is also evident.  The reverse is also victim to age-related discoloration.  Still, a very attractive display piece with an endorsement from Lou Gehrig.
