First baseman Earl Sheely had a nine-year major league career, mostly with the White Sox, a long-forgotten name that enjoyed a wonderful career, driving in 100 runs twice and batting .300 lifetime with a .383 on-base percentage.  Sheely died in 1952 of a heart ailment, making his signature quite rare; he dated the signature 1929.  This is the only signed example on PSA's population report.
