Incredibly rare card dating to 1893, issued by the August Beck company and most likely issued in packs of Yum Yum tobacco.  Primarily a non-sports issue, the set includes generic images depicting baseball, football, yachting, cycling and golf.  The set is rare enough that a complete checklist is unknown; part of the reason for their extreme rarity is a redemption offer that enabled collectors to redeem cards in exchange for various products.  The cards almost never make themselves available for auction.

Graded PR 1 by SGC, the football card from the set appears strong, but does suffer from some heavy creasing and surface abrasions that are difficult to see in the scans due to the matte paper on which they are printed.  Enlarging our scan, however, will reveal a series of creases and indents, most notably in the clear area above the two players.  Despite the wear, a very rare and desirable card.
