This extremely scarce issue was the first of two baseball card sets produced by Los Angeles confectioner Bishop & Co. and featured five players from each of the six teams in the Pacific Coast League in 1910.

Shortstop John Lindsay of the Vernon Tigers is portrayed on this example. While the card has tremendous eye appeal thanks to decent centering and sharp edges and corners, those attributes have been falsely acquired due to evidence of trimming. There appears to have been an attempt to fill in a bit of paper/color loss near the top border with a green marker or highlighter, which, along with the trimming, has automatically landed the card with an Authentic Altered grade.

Even still, the bright green background is eye catching, the image of Lindsay is bold and clean, and the card's back - which is a checklist for the entire 30 card set - is completely in tact and fully legible.

Regardless of the grade, the scarcity more than makes up for the card's altered state. A tremendous example of an extremely tough and desirable PCL issue.
