Following on the heels of the massive T206 set, Coupon cigarettes issued three subsets of cards out of Louisiana using images from the more well-known White Border set. Type 2 Coupons are known for their blue captions and "20 for Five Cents" reverses.

The colors on this card of future Black Sox ringleader Chick Gandil are fabulous and bright. Diamond cutting is present, as well as rounded, worn corners, chipped edges, and a couple creases, which explain the card's technical grade. 

Coupons did not have the wide distribution enjoyed by T206, and this is one of just 11 Gandils with the Cleveland caption graded by SGC. There are a scant 8 examples with higher grades, with none surpassing a grade of 2.
