Attractive matted and framed vintage team photo featuring the powerhouse 1912 New York Giants. One of the most dominant teams of the Dedball Era, the Giants were in the midst of capturing three consecutive National League pennants between 1911-13. Image includes hall of famers and personalities like Christy Mathewson, John McGraw, Rube Marquard, Wilbert Robinson, Chief Meyers, and rookie Heinie Groh. Obscure Giant by the name of Ted Goulait (third from left, bottom row) also appears. Goulait's career consisted of a single major league game pitched on the back end of a double header late in the 1912 season. Giants batboy/mascot Dick Hennesey is seated on the ground in front of the team. Three significant vertical creases are visible in the photographic paper which may have had some restoration work done to apply color to those areas. Overall framed dimensions of 12" x 20.5" while photo itself measures 5.25" x 13.75".
