Shuba had just launched a walk-off home run, a 2-run blast off Pirates reliever Ted Wilks to end this early-50's contest. Shot during beginning of the summer in June, 1952 the Dodgers were on their way to 96 wins, a National League pennant and facing the New York Yankees in a classic 7-game World Series. Light unobtrusive creasing is visible in the upper-left corner, otherwise photo surface remains pleasingly free of obvious imperfections.
