Note: Further research has revealed this location to be the Yankees spring training facility in St. Petersburg, FL.

While the exact location of this image remains unknown it's clear the mighty Babe Ruth is taking a hefty cut outside of regular season major league play. We can positively attribute the moment to sometime between 1927-30 (or perhaps spring training 1931) as the word "Yankees" is clearly emblazoned across Ruth's chest and this was a style only worn by the team during those years. Photo remains a vintage example developed during the 1940's and presents beautifully with light scuffing above The Babe's head and just a hint of common wear to the corners. Tape residue remains affixed to all four corners of verso where photo was removed from a paper album and large International credit stamping appears at center with Ruth ID'd in pencil above. A fresh-to-the-hobby example directly rom the estate of former major league player and longtime minor league manager, Bill Skiff. Authenticated and encapsulated as a Type 2 photo by PSA/DNA.
