Distributed in 1916 by the Ferguson Bakery of Roxbury MA, the BF2 pennants were undersized felt pennants that featured a black and white photo of a popular player of the day. Each pennant measuring approximately six inches in length, the unnumbered set comprised 97 subjects. Extraordinary example featuring Buck Weaver, suspended from baseball for life for his role in throwing the 1919 World Series. Still a popular subject among hobbyists today, this is one of several seldom-seen collectibles featuring Weaver, quite desirable due to its scarcity. In this case, the pink felt pennant appears clean and sharp, with some light wear to the white printing, and a bit of surface wear and creasing evident in the photo. Still, an extremely strong and highly coveted example.
