Attractive postcard signed and dated by boxer/actor Buddy Baer, who came close to defeating Joe Louis and becoming heavyweight champion in 1941 but was disqualified by referee Arthur Donovan due to his protesting what he felt should have been a disqualifying late hit by Louis. The signature and inscription appear in a dark area at the bottom-right corner of the postcard, but are dark and bold. Addressed and mailed to Ray Gagnon of New York in 1938, authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
