In the mix for greatest all-time Second Baseman, Charley Gehringer is captured here in a pose that clearly was based on a photo taken at the 1940 World Series. The composition and color of this card is frankly stunning, with the World Series bunting hanging behind Gehringer with a late Art Deco use of color packing a powerful visual punch.  This SGC 6 of the Hall-of-Famer has a scuff along the top border, well away from the image and the overall look is superb, front and back alike.
