They weren't much of a team, but the Kansas City Athletics were featured in two sets issued by Rodeo Meats in 1955 and 1956.  This card of Hall-of-Famer Enos Slaughter hails from the 1956 set, which saw distribution in hot dog packages, leaving a trail of soggy cardboard destruction in its wake.  As a result, grading skews heavily to the lower range and this PSA 2 has the expected staining and speckling associated with the set, although the appearance looks a bit nicer than the technical grade.  The reverse looks like it took the brunt of the packaging blows but remains fully legible.
