The final game of the 1956 World Series was an anticlimactic one.  Following two edge-of-your-seat pitching duels, the Yankees scored two in the first inning off Don Newcombe on a Yogi Berra home run, and never turned back, adding runs while Johnny Kucks shut Brooklyn down.  Berra wound up hitting two hume runs with Elston Howard and Bill Skowron adding home runs of their own, Skowron's a 7th inning grand slam that put the game firmly out of reach.  Brooklyn managed three hits in what would be their final World Series game.

The game marked the final major league game for Jackie Robinson, as he would retire in January of 1957 after being traded to the New York Giants.  

The stub exhibits a few minor wrinkles with some age-related toning and a tiny stain near the right edge, above the letter "A" in "Gate."  Similar toning and light soiling is evident on the reverse as well.  A strong example of the ticket stub marking Jackie Robinson's final game, and the final World Series game between the Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankees.
