E135 is a large west coast issued set from a maker that specialized in Pacific Coast League cards.  Except for their "Baseball's Hall of Fame", which this Home Run Baker card hails from, the other Collins-McCarthy releases all featured PCL players.  Not so here, as 200 subjects from the AL and NL are in the set, which was released at a time when few comprehensive issues came out.  It shares many photos with the later E121 set and the much-later E126 issue, both from American Caramel, but E135 came first.

Baker, like other cards in the set, is not an easy subject to track down.  SGC has graded this as a 1, which is fair, but they have only 14 graded overall (par for the course for HOF'ers in this issue) and PSA has even less with five total grades. West coast issues tend to have been handled more at the time of issue than cards from other parts of the U.S., no doubt due to a rough style of flipping in vogue at the time on that side of the country and this example duly affirms this. Still, the central image of Baker is a fine looking one overall and the back is all there, with some period product staining adding some old-time flavor.
