Tremendous full uniform dating to 1957 as issued to pitcher Corky Valentine. Valentine was a member of the 1954 and 1955 Cincinnati Reds, his major league career derailed by arm injuries after just 46 games.  He was traded to the Milwaukee braves in 1956 and assigned to the team's AA club, the Atlanta Crackers, and remained with the braves organization until 1959, when he retired.  The uniform is in outstanding condition, a Wilson size 46 flannel jersey with all original tagging, patches and numbering.  The supplied pants and belt are well-worn, particularly the belt, which is heavily creased with visible surface abrasions.  Please note that we have updated the title of this lot from "Game-Worn" to "Player-Issued," to reflect Valentine's lack of big league experience after 1955.  LOA from Photo-match.com with a 10+ grade, guaranteed an authentic, player-issued jersey that will pass as such with MEARS.
