Exceptional Sportsman's Park ticket stub from Game 6 of the 1946 World Series, between the St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox.  The Series, won by the Cardinals in 7 games, was most significant due to being the first postwar World Series, as many of the game's greats began to return from military service.  Game 6 was a 4-1 St. Louis win, a must-win elimination game that saw the Cardinals shift the momentum of the World Series with an outstanding pitching performance by Harry Breechen, getting his second of three Series wins.  The series was most notable for Enos Slaughter's Game 7 "Mad Dash," as Slaughter rounded third and headed home, beating Johnny Pesky's throw (and continuing the Curse of the Bambino).  The stub is in GOOD condition with some surface wear and softening at the edges and corners, what appears to be some staining on the reverse as well as a bit of paper loss and tearing of the paper on the reverse, likely from an irregular tear at the perforation.
