Exceptional press stub from Game 5 of the 1941 World Series at Ebbets Field, the deciding game of the first of many Subway Series between the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers.  The stub was issued to  "Al Lamb" of the Binghamton Press, which is written on the front in black ink.  This game is infamous as it exhibited a rare show of emotion from Joe DiMaggio, as he nearly came to blows with Dodgers pitcher Whit Wyatt.  The tough pitcher knocked DiMaggio down after Henrich hit a home run.  After DiMaggio flied out to center, he headed toward the mound and had words with the pitcher.

The stub appears strong, in GOOD condition with some surface wear and wrinkling evident, with some foxing and toning on the reverse.  The reverse also exhibits what appears to be some paper loss and staining, along with a small tear at the perforation.  Still, an important stub from the deciding game of the first-ever Yankees/Dodgers World Series.
