Outstanding card of Cincinnati third baseman Rafael Almeida, one of the first major league players born in Cuba, teammates of Armando Marsans (the first major leaguer from Cuba was Chick Pedroes, who played two games with the 1902 Cubs). Almeida played in the Cuban League between 1904 and 1925 and is part of the inaugural class of the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame. The card has been graded EX 5 with a (MC) qualifier for the top to bottom cut that reveals some border from the adjacent card at the top edge. Tougher Broadleaf back increases the desirability of the card.
