Spectacular Braves Field official scorebook for the 1915 World Series, which pitted the hometown Boston Red Sox against the Philadelphia Phillies.  While he did appear in five games with the 1914 team, 1915 was the first full season for the great Babe Ruth, who posted a won-loss record of 18-8 with a 2.55 ERA, clubbing 4 home runs in 92 official at bats with a .315 batting average - almost Ohtani-like.  The Red Sox won the Series in five games, playing just two at Braves Field - October 11 and 12 - and winning both by 2-1 margins.  This 12-page scorecard is lightly scored in pencil, from Game 4, a game that featured a three-hit game for Boston's Dick Hoblitzell.  Of course, Ruth did not play in the game, only managing one at bat and no innings pitched, a testament to the quality of the Boston pitching staff.  Ruth does appear in a team photo on the interior pages, as well as in a second team photo on the back cover that is part of the famous Stag Sweaters advertisement.  FAIR to GOOD condition, the program exhibits wear at the edges and corners, wrinkling and a long-ago flattened fold.  The pages have separated at the staples, and thus were reinforced at some point with clear tape.  An exceptional piece, a very early World Series program from the rookie season of Babe Ruth.
